QPR and Liverpool FC have reached agreement on an £8M deal for Loic Remy.
With the departure of Suarez, and the impending departure of Fabio Borini in a potential £14M transfer to Sunderland, Liverpool have decided that Loic Remy is the striker we need.
Speculation earlier this month focused on a potential deal for Wilifried Bony of Swansea but the reds have been put off by the £18M+ potential fee and opted to sign a player for half the price.
Remy had an £8M contract release clause.
The 27 year old Frenchman has spent time at Lyon, Lens, Nice and Marseille before leaping to the Premier League with QPR in 2013.
Originally it was Newcastle who had agreed a deal with the player, but he failed to arrive for transfer talks. Days later he signed a contract with QPR who offered the player a more attractive financial package.
In August of last year the Geordies finally landed their man - kind of. They took the player on a season long loan and he scored 14 goals in 27 appearances for the Tynesiders.
