REPORT: LFC to buy £10M Origi but allow him to stay at Lille

Divock Origi, the young Belgian striker linked with a move to LFC, could be signed this summer but immediately loaned back to his club Lille.

According to Ed Malyon of The Mirror Liverpool have made a £9.8M bid and are now as advanced as agreeing personal terms with the player's representatives.

They say the Anfield club have structured a deal so that he can still play at Lille next season - Lille also playing in the Champions League.

Similar to Emre Can, Origi has been a significant representative of his country at all youth levels.

Since graduating from Lille B two seasons ago he has scored 7 times for Lille in 45 appearances.

He recently scored the winner for Belgium, his first senior international goal, in the 1-0 victory over Russia.

Fellow Belgian, Simon Mignolet spoke recently about Origi:

"He is very, very good.

"The last couple of games he has come in for us, done a great job and changed the game.

"He is a huge prospect, and still only young.

"When he came onto the pitch (against South Korea) he showed his class and helped us win the game. He is an exciting player."

Liverpool have one confirmed signing so far this summer - the £4M deal for Rickie Lambert.  Emre Can is set to join on the 1st July and Adam Lallana's deal is expected imminently.
