Andrea Dossena Profile

Andrea Dossena was brought in from Udinese as a replacement for John Arne Riise who himself moved to Italy in the summer of 2008. Despite being signed for Udinese in 2005, his career there didn't start properly until 2006/07 after a loan deal. He was one of the main first team players for the two seasons in Serie A before his move to Anfield.

Dossena is a no-nonsense left back, and Benitez believes his game will suit the English Premiership. A succesful move to Liverpool will hopefully help his international credentials.
